Thanks. Ok so, 10a BEC.. I plug it into Ch2 (where the esc was) then where do I put the esc? I have steering ch1 & servo winch ch3.. Should I just plug it into "batt"? Im confused.

Do you know about pulling the power wire to the rx?
I use an adapter so didn't have to do it...
There's a couple good diagrams floating around RCC that show how it should be hooked up.

IIRC, it plugs into the steering channel and the esc stays where it is.

Yea, I pulled the red wire already and I've done it 20 times already just brain farting. I have the castle diagram but, its not making sense. If I plug the bec into the steering ch1 then, where does the steering servo plug into?

there's an alternate diagram from a RCC member that is a little different.

IDK man, I use that adapter and they both plug into it and it plugs into the rx.

New problem.. Servo winch is always running when battery is plugged in. I had it on ch3 and im using a 4pl. Now I realize it doesn't have momentary for ch3.. Should I just switch to the flysky & use the momentary ch3?

I have mine on ch3 with the 4PL... you need to re assign what it does.
I can show you tomorrow if you want to leave it unplugged for the time being.

Mine is on DT1I think. I press it forward and ot spools out.
Press it backwards and it stops.
Backwards again and it spools in.
Forward and ot stops.
It works pretty good for me but yeah, not momentary.

I have the same problem with SHOW. The winch creeps every time I power up. I ended up turning my DX4S on in sub trim mode in case I have to stop it. Have rubber band hooked up so as not to burn up servo again. Pain in the ASS. Need permeate solution.

Ok.. I switched back to the 4pl.. Using the heyok relay winch controller. I figured out how to use my dt.3 switch on ch4 ro control the winch. Everything seems to be going good so far. Thanks for the help.

Do you only want the caxtle bec for steering? If so you can use a wire that has two splitter and one on the rec. Side. I use these then leave your red wire on your esc in. The ecs bec will controll the esc perfect.

Yeah, I think thats what johnny was talking about.. I did it the old school way I guess. Didn't even know those "Y" harness existed. Meh. Thanks guys.

bec goes in batt port. or any port that isnt being used i guess.

i use the esc bec to the rx to power the rx and winch and lights, and run the seperate 10a bec directly to one of those holmes hobbies bec adaptor things for the steering.

I'm running my bec off the batt' port and im running my lights like Trey did inline on the battery so, they should always see full battery voltage.

I'm excited for tomorrow! I have quite a bit more to do but, I think its gonna happen!

Me too! I'm really looking forward to this gtg... it's been a while.

DL, are you bringing spools? I'll bring cash... did the shirts arrive?
