Jason, the Unimog hardbodies all come from toys made in Europe. Bruder is a big manufacturer. I was thinking about using this one on my 6X6 with the play, beefed up of course and fully RC functional. This is based on the Unimog U1300.

Bruder Toys*Mercedes Benz Unimog snow plow truck made in Germany [Toy Vehicles | Trucks and Buses]

The ones we get from Tamyia is based on the 1971 Mercedes Benz Unimog 406. There is a really cool model I have been looking for. I understand there are vendors in Germany that have these but you will pay about $200 US for just the body.

The one I want is a U400 body, I am still looking and have been for a year. Oddly enough, the best one I have found so far is made by Lego.

I have had 4 builds in progress for 6 months and one of them I have been working on for over a year. We just have refined the meaning or procrastination.

I think it also show that if we were in grade school right now, they would say we were ADHD.

That's me, I get half way through something and have a better idea. That's why I like advertising, short deadlines and the projects are always changing! I don't think I could work in movies or video games... 2 year long projects

Sitting here looking out the window waiting for Fedex. RPP requires signature on large orders now, don't remember that from before. But, I have a Business Lunch from 12:00 to 1:30, want to bet that is when Fedex shows up?

BLARGH!! i need to finish my damn zuk and update my highlift and put ar60s on lemonade and build my other zukie class1 before i go off dreaming of future builds.

do NOT let me start a damn mog without finishing the crap i just listed.

MOG MOG MOG MOG MOG MOG MOG MOG :)

Just stirring the pot!

I believe this is a 36. The roof line is rounded. I'm just happy Parma makes a 34, close enough. I've wanted to use this body since I first saw it.
I learned to drive and tinker on my grandpa's 36 Ford. "thumbsup"

Nice... not a Ford guy, but I do love that body. Do it!

Winching: We where talking that for winching it is OK to use a foot as our mounting position. If feel this is fair because a foot is stationary. Just no hand, hand can help with the winching. "Can pull"

Works for me. Either that, or in addition to, maybe we should when doing the course put up some stakes, if possible depending on terrain, for areas that might potentially need winching.

Time Out: Since we set up a standard of 20 gates we where talking that there should be a time out. I heard 10:00 min? Sounds good to me. I problem is some people have slower motors. 10:00 min's = 30 sec. per gate.

Dunno, seems a tad long. Your long run was like 8 minutes, and for 20 gates that seems like the longest run I remember. Maybe do like 20 seconds or 25 seconds a gate.

Scale points: I have been looking at the rules and some other clubs. It seams that scale point should be deducted per course. I read you do get the point for a DNF but not a DNS

It sorta does make sense. If you don't start, why would you get scale points? And if you aren't giving scale points for a DNS, then you would need to give them for each course since you could have DNS on one course, but have a finish or DNF on the other.

hehe. if there was a forward control jeep body available i would make one without hesitation. same principle as the mog.

So what? Hit 8 minutes and your done? It doesnt count as a DNF does it?

DNF (Did Not Finish): (Point out +20 points) are given anytime a driver cannot complete a course for any reason. (Time expired, point-out, vehicle not repairable, went home, etc) Progress points are awarded for each gate completed and scale points are awarded.

Boundary: I feel those place where we need to have a out of bounds. two locations people where not using the directed course.

I know I used one

Me too I freely admit. But its not really 'directed' unless there are boundaries. Either put gates at the start and end of the obstacle, or use declared boundaries, otherwise it seems its up to the driver to determine how best to proceed between gates.

I feel we don't need to make boundary threw the hole course but there is location that need to be put in place
