That's a big project but, it might be something I'd be willing to take on after august sometime. I'm capable of it all.. Just as well as my brother anyways. I can cut the welds, peel them off but, then I'd have to take em' somewhere for blasting. Or, I could do it on the truck.

I didn't consider it before because I had my 1:1 tying up the garage and r/c's to build.

I sold my JK to a follower of mine on instagram for what I asked for. "thumbsup"

he love's the sack!

So, should I attempt to drill through my chassis to mount my sliders with Adams help (and clamps!)
or
Pay Attitude Performance 100/hr to drill through my chassis and mount the sliders.

I'm just worried we'll get them on crocked or something... which if we did, I guess they could always be welded on straight.

I was drilling my frame to mount my bumpers I heated it up with a torch made it drill a lot easier. Do you have a good drill and sharp drill bits ?

diy dude. if you want i could loan ya my welder and you could tack them on where you want them and then drill the holes.

I'm leaning towards a full weld.
Not sure where/when to get it done though.

My dad's a welder but it seems a waist of time to drive 4.5 hours for such an easy job.

I may have to wait till Sept and get the GripFab treatment!
Maybe I'll have my bumpers by then too.

You could jb weld it for now kind of ghetto but may hold for a little while. When I was into Hondas my Asian friends used jb weld on everything

I don't like the idea of a couple of 80lb chunks of steel falling off of my vehicle while I'm driving down the street.

Yeah.. I'm more free'd up after August. $99.99 per hour. That's less than A.P.! ;-)

There's no local garages that do automotive welding ? The shop I take my cars to welded some seat frames for some recaro buckets into a car I had charged me an hour of labor.

I'm tellin ya.. If you do all the fitting, drilling & bolting at home you can drive it to any exhaust shop to have them weld it in under an hour.

If you want to stick the sliders in the back of the truck and have them do all the fitting, prepping, drilling, welding, etc.. Its gonna cost ya. Nobody wants to do somethin for nothin.

You could do the labor at your house then drive it somewhere & point a finger at where you want welded. They'll be happy that all they have to do is pull a trigger and you save a lot of money but, you gotta be willing to crawl under there.
