with the connector, you do not need to remove any wires.
It does matter which one you put in which side of the double end.

the dual end side, the connector that has the white signal wire going to it, thats where the servo wire goes. the plug with just the white signal wire and ground goes to the rx, and the dual end side plug with just the red and black goes to the bec.

for it to work right, your ch2 (esc) needs to power the esc. so make sure you plug the red wire back in since you probably pulled it when you put the bec to the rx.

Well, I played with it some more.. Not sure what I did. I didn't pull any wires. I guess I just unplugged everything and started over following what jason said.. Seems to work. Hopefully there isn't a short somewhere.

What is winch creep?

Sometimes when I plug in my battery my winch moves for about a 1/2 second in one direction or the other and only sometimes. I have the heyok relay controller. Meh. I can live with that if thats the only time it does it. Do you think it'll creep with the battery plugged in for a while out of nowhere?

I'm gonna have to add a strap in there somewhere to allow some stretch. I tested it a few times and its yanking on the pull pal a little bit when I plug the battery in. Meh.

winch creep is when the winch will just move a tick every so often when the rig is on. you definitely wont be getting creep with the heyok relay.

when u are plugging in the truck and the winch moves initially is the radio on? are you plugging in the relay to the battery and then that to the esc? or plugging the relay and esc together, then plugging in the battery?

ive never paid attention to if my heyok relays act like that. ill check that out here in a few.

I always have the radio on before powering the truck.

The relay stays plugged into the esc and then I plug the battery into that.

just checked, and timmy and both the wraiths dont do anything when i plug in the battery.

how long is the winch staying on for? kinda sounds radio related, like a failsafe or a funky epa/position setting.

what happens if you just plug the winch into the battery?

Yeah, if I plug the winch into the battery, I cant get it to do it.

So, i'll have to look into the CH4 settings and see if I can find something. No biggie. I ordered a lockedup tow strap and some more super duty winch line while I was at it.

Hacked up a wild will & used a HPI mini trophy truck head..

Whatchu guys up to? Post pics! ;-)

i do not like scale details.

these willy faces would be alot easier if i didn't just have primary colors. i have no idea what color to make the firesuits and helmets. im thinking white or grey firesuits with red or yellow helmets?... plan is two figures in the wraith, but it may just be one.

i also painted the flesh on a couple tamiya driver figures for the tf2, but i dont think they are going to work out unless i put a bench seat interior in...

Had a good run today at Bartlet we made a lot of nice trails there if anyone in the area needs a place to test their rigs.
