Nitro engines

I hope the Evo is better than the first POS Warhead. As far as engines go, Any Big block will be better than the stocker. I would toss in a .28. It is a great size for an 11-15lb truck. I have had good luck with O.S., Picco and axial. It all comes down to how much you want to spend and how much stuff you want to break. What ever you do dont buy a used engine unless you know who the seller is personally. And dont bother with cheap engines. Remember you get what you pay for.

You'll need to buy a new clutch nut to fit a new engine. The stock SuperTigre uses a threaded crank which is about dead only 1/10th Gas Trucks use them anymore, and thats the wrong size engine. All .21-.32 engines are SG crank. All you need is an SG clutch nut and a pack of clutch spacers.

Be careful what engine you pick, many do not fit without modification. Like the LRP .28's backplate for its pull start is too big. If you are using a starter box, you have WAY more engine options.

I do not get along with traxxas engines..

I dunno, I got it used and my 3.3 t-maxx was a freakin nightmare that just ended up on ebay.

I just got myself an LST2, got about 4 tanks in her right now, I can tell this truck is gonna fly!

The Traxxas 3.3 won't even fit in the truck. Apparently being retarded and giving bad advice is Shaun's specialty.

then what engine will fit in the truck without modifying anything?

sorry for all the questions but i have one more the stock engine i have in it starts up great and runs good but when i try to bring it to a stop it just stalls out why would it be doing this?

Nothing I've seen fits without working on getting a new clutch nut and doing a good deal of shimming.

If you want a roto-start or pullstart engine, you'll be stuck checking what clears the frame.

If it stalls when stopping it could be the clutch shoes are worn or the clutch spring is broken. It could also be the idle is too low causing it to die. I'd look to the idle issue, lift it off the ground and let it idle, if it stalls then you need to increase the idle screw. If you pick it off the ground and it idles fine, it is likely the clutch.

i've always been a fan of OS engines. I ran the OS .18tm in my tmaxx and the .30 in my savage. if you can find an OS engine to fit it, put that sucker in there.

I have no experience with duratrax stuff, but if there is a OS engine that will fit go for one of them. I run O.S. engines in all of my racers(maily dirt oval)

the 3.3 is always my suggestion for a basher, lol. I'm getting ready to drop one in my mt2, I just haven't had any time to do the transplant.
