Hey, good to hear from ya JG! You running your Blazer on the trail run? If I go out I may have my buddy's CJ-7. I'm trying to get him to go but he's got other stuff going on. We'll see. Got a strap good in the truck in case I sink the land yacht....

did anyone have a time for meeting at the highway exit

Check the thread about heading out on the 21st. We should be meeting around 10:00 at Southern Blvd. in Rio Rancho. Next week for the comp on the 28th I would bet that we will be meeting closer to 8:00 at either the highway exit off I-40 or Southern Blvd. in Rio Rancho depending on where you are coming from. We should know more today about conditions of the comp site. Today will more or less just be a scouting run.... hopefully not in the mud!!!

one of the times i was down there we saw a neon driving around. pretty funny. i have faith in my legacy. it's got snow tires. could brobably make it to the moon.

We explored the area today and there should not be any problems getting to the comp site.

See pics from today.

It takes about 45 minutes from the end of Southern and about an hour from I-40. Definitely easier to enter from I-40. Recommend high clearance vehicles.

See you all there.

hour in from 40? looks to be an early morning. maybe i'll take the truck. don't much care if the subaru gets some "rock rash" though. good pictures by the way. not too muddy?

Wasn't too muddy at all. It was trying to snow off and on all day, but for the most part it was sunny...... and cold!

Route in from I-40 was easy. Just one hill climb to get to the comp area. Basically was just a long dirt road in. We just need to keep an eye on what the storms do this week.

Bummer! Was looking forward to Rio Puerco. Moon Rock looked promising....:-( Oh well, it'll be there for #3!

that's cool. it'll be much closer for me. i could help set up if needs be. I'm probably going to be there early anyways.

Well after the Axial comp. need to talk to wife. at least if see is ok with it I can actually get to this location.

Everyone is on the same page, right? Rio Puerco was canceled due to incoming weather. We're at La Cueva today (Rock House).
