No Ring and Pinion Sets Available??

So, I'm trying to piece together a set of axles for a custom D90 build, and I seem to have run into a bit of a problem... There aren't any diff gears available until late May!!! (What gives!!)

Anyway, does anybody know of any other gear sets? I know Hot Racing made a set or three for the original axles, but I haven't seen anything for the new axles...

yep hasnt been any gear sets available yet from axial. I saw Xtra speed is making a a one piece spool/ring gear with pinion set.

Hmmm... That looks fairly interesting. I really just need a set to get the truck running with enough time for a few shakedowns before Axialfest, and the Xtra Speed set might just do the trick.

I'd prefer to go slightly more namebrand for something as high-wearing as the axle gears, but they might be the only option. Since Axial can't seem to figure out how parts support works, I can only hope that SSD or HR can get a gear set out within the first year of the SCX10 II's release...

I'm guessing this is done on purpouse by Axial. They want us to buy complete kits, not just a few parts needed to upgrade the axle.

I picked up 3 sets of the TFL Racing for my 6X6 I'm building, put them in and they are binding. I plan to work with them tonight to see if I can get them freed up. And hopefully my drive shafts get in soon so I can put power to the rig.

My local hobby shop says 5/17 for shipping dates on axial ring and pinions for the scx10 2.

Got the TFL Racing Pinions fit correctly last night, I had the shim inside the axle not on the back. they spin freely now. The construction on the gears feels good not like a cheap sand cast job. But still no driveshafts so I can't get power on them to see how they work.

Just ran mine first time today, and a little rock hopping & it has chipped some ring teeth clean off. (pics soon)

They are less durable than the stock Axial.

I've got two complete sets of stock gears I'd be interested in selling. I personally have seen Xtra speed gears **** the bed so I wouldn't trust them personally.
