Novak balistic going balistic

hey fella i just got this novak motor and hooked it upi to a my 2s rooster and it goes for 5 seconds then dies down and starts back up, and its got no speed, i brought it off a friend and he ran it with no problems in his LCC

ballistic as in the ballistic brushless motors? if so that's your problem running it with a rooster brushed only esc.

Yes he ran it in his LCC. Now tell us what ESC he had/has in his LCC.

im running the ROOSTER brushless version esc and my mate had the 3s Goat esc plugged to it

Which one is yours?

The only mention of Rooster is for Brushed systems.

Perhaps it would be a good idea to have a close look at it and confirm EXACTLY what it is....

Otherwise, how will anybody be able to help you.

But, I'm guessing the LiPO cutoff is set for 3S and you are running 2S.

its this esc: Goat 2S Crawler Brushless/Brush ESC , but i dont think its the esc because i wired it up an 3s goat system and did the same thing

What batteries are you running?

Are they fully charged?

If they are LiPO batteries, have you set the LiPO cutoff on the ESC correctly?

do have the ESC to motor wired correctly A to A, B to B, and C to C if this is in the wrong configuration it can cook the motor. Also check your sensor wires for breaks

Look, plain and simple.

The Ballistic is a brushless motor. You have to run an esc that tuns brushless, which makes me wonder if your fibbing since the ballistic has three wires and a brushed esc takes two.

No matter what. That is what you need yo run the ballistic.

Second off, you can run some esc's on 3S even though they may be rated 2S. But you risk harm to the electronics inside.

You should use an ESC rated for 3S if that is what your gonna use.

I highly suggest you take the time to check this stuff. Its very generous of your friend to GIVE you a brushless motor seeing the cost in them.

yer mate i was on running a didderent ballistic motor 3 weeks ago then it shit it self, the esc is fine (it is a brushless) and batteies are charges and i got the wires in the right place.

when my friend lent me his novak goat combo, i used his esc but it didnt work any different, so then i put it on my esc and same thing,

but what i dont yet is that he was useing it then went MOA and a week later he lent it to me and this happened,

Question:
-could it be that its a 2s and its been running 3s

ok well turned it all on and the esc turns on but the motor dosnt turn, iv givenup now cheers fellas for your help
