So i took apart my lcc to do some maintenance. After i put it back together the motor will not turn at all. It spins 1/4 to 1 rotation than the esc shuts down and resets. Any help is appreciated thanks

So i did a little test and plugged my motor into a traxxas esc and the motor worked and turned both ways. I also plugged my traxxas motor up to the novak esc and the motor only spun a 1/4 turn each way. So let me know what you think the traxxas esc and motor a non sensored and I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

VXL 3s? if so it's also sensored... hook up the novak motor sensored to the VXL and see what happens.

The novak ESC is sensored ONLY... it will not run the traxxas motor period.

What I think may have happened is you damaged the sensor harness...

the novak motor works in the traxxas esc. both the motors do not work on the novak esc. also took off the heat shrink around the 6 wire harness and all of the wires feel like there attached in the motor and there are no bare wires. reset the esc as well.

OK... just to be clear you hooked up the novak motor SENSORED to the VXL 3s? if the sensor harness is some how damaged it will act the same on the VXL as it did the novak ESC IF AND ONLY IF you hook up to the VXL sensored...

Look at the front of the VXL 3s... see the little rectangle shaped piece with the black edge? that the cover for the sensor port on the VXL... pop it off and plug in the novak sensor harness and see how it runs.

ok so now that i plugged the sensor harness in for the novak motor it does the same exact thing in the vxl 3s as it did int the novak 2s. so this would narrow it down to the motor correct.

Yep"thumbsup" something has went wrong either at the plug or along the wiring harness for the sensor... sorry can't be much help to ya here... trace all the wires looking for breaks bare spots and check the plug and pins...if you can't find anything it a trip back to novak OR run it sensorless... probably not gona work very well for ya sensorless though:-(

Just reread you're post where you stated you checked the plug and wires... sorry man not much else ya can do but send it in or run it sensorless... of course you can not use the novak ESC if you decide to run it sensorless as it will only run sensored motors.

ok and thanks for the help looks like ill just send it back to novak.

No problem"thumbsup" Novak is real good about taking care of problems... you'll probably end up with a new motor or at least a fixed motor for the cost of shipping8)
