on a cold track, and in the rain at the end:shock:

~20 seconds behind the Nissan GT-R and ~40 behind the Porsche 918.

sounds pretty healthy. I saw 7K on the tach-o-meter a few times and 160 mph on one section.

I saw 161 mph after the long stretch near then after it crested the hill and made a slight left to head back down a hill. I saw 157 mph on some sections and it had no more power left as they're slight uphills. I read it has shorter gearing than normal (normal Camaro?) and has options deleted. Impressive, but far from what I'd spend my money on.

on comp tires"thumbsup"
fine print states they were runnin micholin pilots, not stock tires;-)

I think the Camaros time was pretty good for stock tires, a wet/cold day, and 3800 lbs. also down ~45hp on the GT-R.

not takin anything away from those performance monsters."thumbsup"

anyone else think it was weird he seemed to "lift" at 158-160mph mark? lots of straight left and no acceleration.

and Porsche also points out that the time were set using the standard Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres, rather than any trick slicks.

Granted it's got a BIT more power than either of the other cars mentioned.

Nissan says Dunlop slicks made for the car, as Porsche seemed happy to point out in the quote above.

I very much doubt the driver was lifting at ~157, but more like it ran out of power. As I mentioned those sections are uphills.

I noticed it a bit at the end of the lap when he hit the rain. You could hear the engine rev up a bit when the car would get "light" over a hill.

Dinner material.
