I have two castle OEM mamba max pro escs and I want to flash genuine castle mamba max pro firmware. I already looked at the traxxas forums but the links aren't working anymore. I hope someone can help get what I need to reflash my escs. thanks in advance.

I think he's saying they're rebranded Castle ESCs - like a Traxxas ET-3S as an example.

Yea all you to do is update the esc to the latest firmware and it is done.
Castle link doesn't let you update the OEM escs because castle needs permission for the people they make them for. The only way to get the latest firmware is to reflash actual mamba max pro firmware because the traxxas one has other features like live link and such.

Castle emailed me a link for the Mamba updating...
but I don't have those particular electronics.

But it lets me start the download process to my 'puter.

Guessing the Castle USB link is needed to garner access
once the updates are saved to your PC ?

Possibly this email installer link might work ?

click "save file" to start download

Thanks for the help. I'll see if it works. What esc did they send you the update for? Thanks

If someone has a copy of castle link 3.40 and copy of any version of mmp firmware then I could reflash my esc. Hopefully someone who did the mod still has the software?

Mamba Monster X, Mamba Micro X, Mamba Max Pro, Mamba XL X, Mamba Monster 2 Retro

^ X-SERIES UPDATES ARE IMPORTANT for customers intending to "GO SENSORED" . This update improves the low speed performance when running sensored motors. Additionally, the Auxiliary Wire functionality on the X-Series ESC's now has an increased drag brake adjustment. This is a two-part update in that older firmware will allow changing drag brake to 213% CRAWLER FULL-ON only via Castle Link settings. The auxiliary wire option only let you increase to 100% drag brake (which is good for high traction racing). Now, we've rescaled the entire drag brake settings so that 213% is now 100% CRAWLER FULL-ON (ideal for rock crawling and rock racing), AND when adjusting in Auxiliary Wire Mode, you can now increase to 100% CRAWLER FULL-ON. The Mamba XL X ESC will also get a bug fix for a reverse setting issue.

MAMBA MAX PRO ESCS should be updated to Version 1.52 which also improves low speed performance when running sensored motors.

--------------------

I could forward that email/link to you if ya wanted.

But the installer link (binary file) is the same deal.

I'm not gonna download this particular update...
so good luck to you in finding another whom already has.
