Been out of the game for a bit and have slowwwwwly built an older emaxx into somewhat of a Summit LT. It wouldn't be running anything over 5.5" tires, of the 2.2/3.0 variety (slayer wheels), 6 cell packs and for the time being the factory twin titan motors (so nothing crazy, mainly just something my better half can run into stuff with) but need something more substantial than the factory 2055. When it comes to servos, I will be the first to admit I'm ignorant, other than the factory traxxas servos that come in slashes/stampedes over the last decade or so, I have no idea what's out there. Hi tech is a quality name from my understanding and Savox seems to be a newcomer with good, but hit or miss results.

Basically, I need some guidance. I am not against spending money, but this is a "toy" so i don't want to throw money away on more than i need. It doesn't have to be waterproof or super fancy, but I'd like to buy this ONCE and know I can bash around for a bit with it.

I know with a crawler I need a BEC, do I need the same with this setup? Also, at what point would I need/want to run an aluminum horn over a servo saver?

thanks in advance for any help/guidance

Which emaxx do you have? If its the old version 3906 then you can either upgrade to the new emaxx bellcrank system and use any aluminum servo horn you want. Or if you want to use stock just get the large nitro kimbrough servo saver. As far as servos go I'd get one of the tower pro 995s or 996s they are around 7-15 each and you can get 2-3 for the price of a big name brand.

They have plenty of power to turn that truck
