So I didn't want to include "build" in the name of this thread as I doubt mine will ever come close to the complexity of some of the project threads on here. Mine is more of a "beat the piss out of it, fix what breaks, and slightly improve it along the way" thread. Also, I'm 100% new to the whole RC crawler scene so there WILL be dumb questions asked by me along the way.
It all started in a fellow car club member's garage. One of my good friends let me try out his Wraith and at that point, I knew I needed a crawler. Thanks a lot bitch. There goes $400+ out the window immediately. A couple days later, I find that Axial makes a suitable model for me and it even has a Dodge body. I'm a lifelong Mopar fan so this was without a doubt the one I would be buying.
Fast forward about a week, and it shows up:

One of the first things I ordered for it was a lift because the tires rubbed the body and no way in hell was I going to cut it up already. Just for fun, I set it up for maximum lift and tried out a friend's 2.2s. Needless to say, the 2.2s made it look like some Walmart piece of crap and I'll probably be sticking to 1.9s:
Stock height

Max lift, stock wheels/tires

Max lift, 2.2s

I ended up settling on lifting it juuust enough so that at max flex, it just barely rubs with the stock Ripsaws.
