I am fairly new to crawling and i was thinking of going to a outrunner brushless motor setup in a gmade stealth but i can't find any info on them or what type of esc i need to run so i can use 4s lipos to run the motor

what is the diffrence in between an outrunner and a normal motor execpt for the size

start here for the info.

as far as 4 cell lipo, you might look at the mamba monster.

with a brushless you will get more power but will lose low speed resolution. there is a trade-off.

the construction of the motors are completely different. brushless is an AC motor, brushed is DC, the rear outer part of an outrunner actualy spins (looks pretty cool).
there are other threads stickied at the top of this forum that deal with brushless as well.

Brushless is an AC motor?

Brushless motor is basically a motor w/o brushes that comes in contact w/ the commutator.

read this on brushed motor: http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/motor5.htm

a brushless is simply w/o the brushes, and relies on either a sensor (in sensored brushless) to know the location of the armature or magnetic force feedback for non-sensored brushless motors.

RC controllers use three half bridges to drive them, DC to DC conversion. Technically they are being driven by DC current, but they could be driven by AC just as easily.

I would not suggest an outrunner for the Gmade, as the motors will get beat up and ruined very fast. A cheap brushed motor or sensored inrunner may be your best bet. I don't know if Quark or LRP is available in Italy, look for a motor of 21.5 winds if it is sensored brushless.

okso what do you think of intrgy 65t motors for the stealth ijust put in two 45t motors and it seems alittle fast and some times it just doesn't have enough power so i think 65t will be the way to go i am running a cheap rooster esc at the moment

i can only change the pin grear it 's a 12 tooth now i may be able to go to a 10 tooth but thats all, as run the stock Gmade axles there doesn't seem to be any gearing opions there
