PC Sim Racing

Yeah, way more fun than BeamNG in my mind. Wreckfest is a full on game, whereas BeamNG is just a physics simulator IMO.

Cool! Pcars2 was definitely a big improvement over the original. Hopefully they continue improving with Pcars3.

FYI tonight were doing a day/night transition on CF race. just a fun run. prepping for 24 hours of daytona.
with time multiplier set to 4x so we can see the effects it has on our team tune.

I'm not sure when it was the last time that you played BeamNG, but there are some mini games in it now. There are scenarios like police chases, rally races, etc. It's actually a pretty cool game. The handling physics aren't there yet, but overall I love it. It's not even close to what I'd call a full game though.

They had all that back when I played it. But the physics were so terrible I just used it to blow off steam by demolishing cars. Supposedly there was a recent physics and FFB update that made it much better.

:lmao: I still love crashing cars. I don't know how poor the physics were, but I don't think you'd be impressed now.

How are the physics of Wreckfest - arcade-y?

Wreckfest's got some hilarious physics... I like it.

I keep waiting for a better price for BeamNG, as I got Wreckfest for next to nothing years ago.

Well, bear in mind you're driving shitbox cars on narrow tires, and mostly on dirt. But I think the physics and FFB are probably a 7/10. It's really something that's never been done before for wheel/cockpit users, so to me it's a sim. The FFB is actually pretty good too. My only gripe, and it may be this way IRL for all I know in those cars, is that there comes a point in a slide where it's almost guaranteed to be over with. But again, on dirt, in 70's shitboxes, with narrow tires, that's probably legit. And as durok mentioned, it's hella fun, and hilarious, and downright maddening at times.

Just got finished running a few laps on ACC. It still has that odd feel where the rear either has traction or it doesn't. There's no in between. It goes from traction to a skating rink. And it only really lose the rear end when I purposely downshift one gear too many and then mash the throttle. Other than that it's difficult for me to lose the back end.

Meh, drifting in VR in Assetto Corsa tops anything yet for me. Physics are there, sounds are there, it just feels right with good mod cars.

some close finishes!!!!!!

I had another update for ACC and I already downloaded the Ferrari 488 update. Anybody know what's up? I'm guessing bug fixes or something.
