Putting the final touches on my new MRC PRO. Needed some weight in my front wheels. After a lot of thought and reading on here. I found the perfect solution (at least for me). Easy cheap and fits like a glove.
here's what you need:
1. 1 package of Water Gremlin Egg Sinker weights from the fishing Dept at Walmart. 1/8 size 14 per bag. One bag could do one wheel - buy an extra bag in case you want them tight together. Cost $1/bag.
2. A hammer
3. Shoe Goo
Take all 14 egg shaped weights on firmly tap them 4-5 times on the concrete to flatten out - some. Not too hard. you dont want a pancake. but you do want them flattened pretty good.
Apply a very light coat of shoe goo onto the wheel- enough to embed 4-5 weights. then move around the wheel with shoe goo and weights. Apply them next to each other with a slight gap in between. the shoe goo will allow you to adjust spacing once all are in. They fit perfectly within the wheel. If you want them tight against each other spend another $1 for a bag and put 15-16 on each wheel. i put 15 in. 14 x .1256= 1.75 oz 15 x .125 = 1.875 oz 16 = 2.0 oz
took maybe 15 minutes to do both wheels. You now have at least 1.75 oz in each front wheel. let dry overnight.
Put a strip of electrical tape over the top.
