Anyone running 90mm shocks on their phoenix? Looking for something new and easier to do rebuilds on. Looking at the Rc4wd, proline and SSD units. If they would fit I'd love to run AE big bore but there's no way they'd fit on the shock towers and the diameter is less than scale.

I installed a set of 90mm Kronix shocks. seems a bit more top heavy but trails just fine. The RC4WD would be my last choice to try.

I put the Traxxas 90mm shocks on my Phoenix. Moved the front shock to the lower link mount with a longer bolt and put RC Pirate Shock towers on the back with angled shocks. Ride height is lower and articulation is increased.

Did you cut away the original axle shock tabs? Looks like they are in the way for fitting the shocks to the lower link mount. Could you show pictures of your setup?

I don't seem to have any interference with the stock shock mounts. See attached photos.

How are you not binding with the traxxas shocks? I have to spin down the shock collars lower than I would like to prevent them from rubbing the shock tower and causing binding.
