hey guys i just my hands on a clod and planning on doing a budget build for back yard bashing. ive seen alot of pimp canes ,but alot of them were built differently. i was just wondering ,what are some the things i could get at my local hardware store to build a pimp cane ? and what kinds of tips can u guys give me before i start this build. pics would help alot better.

Yep, just purchase one from JP if you're interested in a Pimp Cane.

One word of caution though: (and not because we sell something different) if you're going to go backyard bashing, the Pimp Cane and its variants is probably the worst choice for that.

If you mean backyard crawling you'll be fine, but bashing and that kind of chassis don't really go hand in hand.

If you really want to buy the parts at a hardware store bradahb you will need 1/4 inch aluminum channel (enough for the WB length you want 19" for an 18" WB ect.), screws big enough to fit in the upper link mount holes, 1/8 thick aluminum sheet (8"x8" will be plenty and then some). I will try to post some pics. on the build, but I can't promise anything.8)"thumbsup"

OOPS:shock::oops::!: I'm sorry if you are running a fliped axle at an 18" WB you will need 23" of aluminum channel and 20" if no fliped axle."thumbsup"

There is a reason I've been making these for years. Even if you try and build your own. And get everything right the first time. Your not even saving any money. To many guys have wasted a lot of money on the wrong Alumn, Wrong Sizes, drilled holes wrong and so on. Have spent enough to buy 3 or 4 Pimp Canes.

His is not a Real Pimp Cane. It's just a Copy. He just stole the Name is all.

It's like buying the Always Save brand of Mt. Dew... It's just not as good....:)
