All I am saying is, I don't think it's fair to knock what people like as far as music just because it doesn't blow your skirt up....

It's ok to think that bands are horrible and I also think that copying a pop song when you are a "metal" band is a very lame attempt at a publicity stunt.

...again, that's my opinion. I can throw a rock and hit 10 people who think that what I do in and with my band is just fawking ridiculous.

Yeah....not my choice either. But then, I used to have an album called "Punk Goes Metal" and I loved it! :ror: I was also just listening to Sacred Reich and they covered a Sabbath song....which I am sure was "pop" back in the day...

Every band is influenced by another's work....so of course they will sound like someone else. I am sure that these guys sound different, it just takes listening to that type of music to detect those differences.

Of course, everyone is influenced by someone else. Its impossible not to be. However, you can take that influence and fold it into your own personal style or just milk it for all its worth until the next fad comes along and then grab onto that...

To each his own, but still, if I'm going to support an up-and-coming band, its going to be one that plays their own music, not one that is rehashing an already over-saturated style.
