Police shooting/manhunt in my city

The ****er was caught this morning at 12:10 AM.

Justin Bourque, Moncton shooting suspect, in police custody - New Brunswick - CBC News

Moncton shooting: Justin Bourque was unarmed at time of arrest - New Brunswick - CBC News

He really had no intention of running, but it's kinda hard to hide when there's over 1000 officers blocking off part of the city. There was regular RCMP, ERT (our version of SWAT), Special Ops, Major Crimes (undercover). Brinks and G4S Security also provided some of their vehicles for the officers to use, but they also had their own ERT vehicles. There was at least 3 helicopters circling overhead at any time.

Now it's time for the city to heal, and remember the officers lost because of this guy and his ****ed up agenda.

Imagine that they got him alive..i must say im pretty surprised that he gave up, seemed like he might of been luring the popo into something big and it also seems he was only targeting the police, at least in the end we might find out what was going on with this goof.. Usually these guys end up doing themselves or die in a shootout. Crazy but rare thing to happen here.

Well, he did say in some Facebook posts that he wanted to go out with a bang and take as many officers with him. He was only targeting police, there was a couple instances when pedestrians ran into him when he first started and he just told them to run away and get inside so they don't get hurt. The fact they got him alive also shows the professionalism of the RCMP, not letting their personal emotions take over when they could have easily unloaded on him.

I'm glad all ended somewhat okay. One of the fallen officers was apparently an avid RC racer. Now get your city back to normal neighbour"thumbsup""thumbsup"

I realize that this is out of the ordinary for you and your community, but just imagine if you saw this 200+ times annually on your evening news: welcome to every major city in the U.S.

I am surprised he is alive..i remember when the Los Angeles cops were looking for Dorner they were shooting up newspaper ladies:roll: and such..im sure if Buddy resited at all at the end of it they would plugged him good, i agree on the restraint used by the rcmp..at least there may be some answers forthcoming instead of crazy speculation that usually happens after these spree killings with the killer dead.

What was this guy's reasoning for doing this in the first place?
No one knows..yet, but apparently he went totally sidways about 3 monthes ago..opened up a facebook acct and started posting pro gun rights stuff and anti govt stuff.

Something like that only 15 minutes away is way to close for comfort.

No idea as of yet, but a girl that works with him a few years ago said that he said a few times that he wanted to go out with a bang and take others with him, so that they'll have something to remember him by.

Thanks man. The city seems to be getting back to normal, but for that Thursday, I've never seen this city look so much like a ghost town.

Yea, just a little out of the ordinary. I think it was last year, or the year before, there was only 1 homicide...

Hopefully they'll have answers and the lawyers don't pull the "not criminally responsible because of mental illness" card... The only part I don't like about him being still alive, is the fact that my tax dollars will now be going towards him having a place to sleep every night, and having three meals a day for the rest of his life. He's also going to be treated pretty good in jail since he's a cop killer too.

Yeah, no shit lol, when there's 3 helicopters flying around all day circling one area that seems to be getting closer to your house, it makes you a little uneasy to say the least.
