possible 10T pinion

I talked to Jim at BP Hobbies today. A trade show delayed the order a bit. It will probably be another 2+ weeks for the pinions to come in.

aaaarrrgggggggg!

Just talked to Jim again today. These have NOT been ordered yet. He is back and fourth with Hobby Electronics on some other part of the order he is combining these pinions with. So 1-4 more weeks. He doesn't really know.

I think Hobby Electronics quoted +/-$2ea gear, but $30 for air freight.
I'm on the fence if I want to order up 20 of these for $70, because then I would have a bunch of little envelopes to mail out.

Rob H., any luck with your gear cutter in aluminum?
Do you feel like fronting the order or taking pre-orders to gets some of these Air Freighted from Korea?

Does the use of the banebots motors eliminate the need for the smaller pinion? Just a thought but maybe you should hold off on the order, $3.50 a gear is kinda steep.

While $3.50 is steep for a gear . It does potentially solve a problem that I think EVERYONE would pay $3.50 to fix. Most people have spent way more than $3.50 in cash and time fixing clod stall.
I for one would not bat an eye at dropping $3.50 for a ( Possible ) solution to fix the stall.

(* Disclaimer. this gear does not guarantee that the stall will be gone for sure. )

I was not saying I would not pay for the fix, was just asking if it was still needed due to how well the banebots motors work. I have not instaled my motors yet so I was asking.

I last talked to Jim 2wks ago. I have really held my tongue with the guy so I am not wanting to call him again just to find out he is still screwing around with the order.

I have talked with Sang-Hoon Lee at HobbyLee in Korea. He sent me an invoice for 20 of each 9T/10T, but there is $18 shipping and he needs the money electroinically transferred bank to bank.
Let me know if you want to go this route and resell them to the rest of us. I just wasn't ready to shell $70 plus the cost of the money transfer.

I bought a (cut) 12t to put in my front for now to eliminate stall. So far as worked OK. Need stickier tires now.

I found these pinions in the Vedetta section on TheToyz.com. The vendetta is .6 mod and runs a 2.3mm shaft however the pinions themselves don't mention being .6 mod. All they say is 2.3mm shaft and they're out of stock anyway. Thought I'd share, might be able to track down some info.

If these are the same ,they are mod 5.
