montana.matt : Question, How do you like those roto paks? Are they 1 or 2 gallon? Nice Sportsman!

Sorry for thread jack..no one posting anyhow..lol

"thumbsup"

Yeah I have two of the new kolpin 4 gallon ones with the new crappy carb compliant spouts. I just hate having to take my bags off because I lay them flat on my racks. I think the roto's mounting on the back looks nice but i was worried they would move around alot..up and down pivoting i mean...

Kolpin makes the upright mounts you can use with their gas packs, that are similar (but not interchangeable with) the Roto Pax mounts. Makes it easier to pack all the crap we need on longer trips:ror: I keep a chainsaw and tools in the rear box of my ATV and snacks, rain gear and whatever else I can fit up front. My wife doesn't carry anything on her ATV, so I'm stuck with everything on mine:roll::ror:
It all adds a lot of weight on the back, but when we get extreme, all that stuff comes off...
I like your Grizzly.... Is it a 700?

Nope 07 660. Thinking about selling this one and buying the fuel injected come tax time..haha.

Thanks for the info "thumbsup"

Let see some more pics, I know more people on here have atvs? How about the OP where is your quad!! ;-)

2 z400's, a Yfz 450r, and a Grizzly 700
My white z has a yoshi exhaust, jet kit, rev box, powerlid with k&n and still gets spanked by the stock 450r

Me, my two besties and my wife on the sand at Little Sahara state park, Oklahoma

Edit......just realized the 450 isn't in that pic

Holy crap Matt....you strap more junk to your ATV than I think I take along on weekend camping trips. LOL
Just yankin your chain, I'm lucky if I take a bottle of water along to drink most of the time.

This is me mobbin the wife's Sportsman 500 through a swamp.

This is me with my nephew just after I bought my sportsman 800. Hopefully next year it will get traded in for an 850xp, but not the EPS version....just don't like the way they feel and I know I'd end up breaking it somehow.

That's what happens when your wife doesn't want to carry anything on hers (I also had a roll up table and one of those collapsing chairs underneath the cooler and dry sack):ror:
This was the other reason:

We stopped for a bbq halfway through the trip:flipoff:

And this is the rest of the crap we hauled for the bbq on my friends ATV

Question for you: Have you ever hit the shift lever with your leg/knee while riding? They had this problem way back when and heard they moved the angle and was curious if this still happened to anyone? I am 6'-2" and havent got the chance to ride on one yet.

Thanks for your time "thumbsup"
and sweet machine you have there.

I have never had a problem with it. I am 5'8" and find it the most comfortable four wheeler I have ever ridden. Only regret was not getting power steering on it. In the 2 picture I attached (in my first post) you can see the shift lever. It is in "Park" in that position. In "Low" and "High" range the lever is way forward. I have had several fourwheelers, including another Polaris (425 Xpedition), and all I can say is Polaris got it right with the XP chassis. I had several complaints on the other Polaris I had owned and several others I had ridden (400 Xplorer, 325 Magnum, 500 Sportsman), all which have been fixed now. 8)

Also, spend the extra and get the 850XP over the 550XP. The 850 mill is much smoother and has incredible power. "thumbsup"
