Is anyone else running proline powerstroke shocks on their crawler and finding them way to stiff?

Im having a hard time finding replacement springs of different rates. The local hobby shop doesnt have squat for anything but planes on hand. Any advice guys?

The springs from the SCX10 shocks will work on those Proline shocks as well....and they have quite a selection of different rates.

My crawler is fairly light, Especially over the rear axle. Thanks for the info guys!

You wouldnt happen to know the rate on the springs that come with the powerstrokes would ya?

Did you try the long spring? I like to use them. you could also run the other one with the long. to give you more

I called Proline....they didnt have the info.

BTW, I run these on my light scaler and I really like using the MRC soft springs on them. They fit perfectly with some mini cups and the adjuster down at the bottom of the threads. "thumbsup"

The long spring that came in the pack with the shocks is the same length as the 2 small springs.
So it shouldnt raise you height at all plus they are softer.

The stock spring rates are about the equivalent of a Axial super soft small top spring and a soft lower spring. Bit that was done by feel, not actually measured.

one place to look for alternative springs is team associated. their springs are slightly bigger than the proline springs. they do fit fine on the shocks. i have a set for my buggy and i was looking at possibly also using them for my crawler...also on a side note the ones that the lhs gave me were for my buggy were to long and had to cut them to fit...they are the same length as the scaler single springs...
