i have an uncle in a pretty bad way right now. he's been fighting some severe lung problems for a couple years....while he was in for testing for a lung transplant, they found a completely blocked artery, so sounds like tuesday he's going in for a bypass.

he's a thousand miles away, we're just doing what we can from here...his name is Brian, just keep him in your thoughts please.

Pete

Pete, prayers and blessings out to your uncle and your family, and pray for a speedy recovery from the bypass.
Been through this with my pops and uncles, stay steady and keep faith in front of you, and let our Lord work.

thank you Bob, keeping faith in situations like this can be tough, but we're all pulling here.

tonight we heard that he's resting at home with his wife and daughter, he'll be headed back Monday to the hospital. I'm thankful that he can be at home instead of cooped up in the hospital for the weekend. its a morale booster for all of us.

the bypass went well, from the sounds of things they're going to leave him on the ventilator from the day, let him rest. one hurdle down, but the race isn't done yet.

My heart goes out to him and the family. I hope all goes good for him....

old thread that is still relevant. my uncle got a dual lung replacement a couple weeks ago. since then, he had a minor stroke in icu, and some heart rhythm issues in icu as well. after he finally got to a recovery room, he is doing so well that he didn't need to go to the recovery hospital that was slated in his list  he's breathing and talking with no shortness of breath, and just has to do his therapy for the next few months in dallas.
