I was thinking of buying the Pro-Line 1973 Ford Bronco Body for my Ascender because it is one of the few listed at a 12" wheelbase. However when I was looking at it on Amazon, there were a number of people asking if it fit a 12" wheelbase and all the dealers on there were saying it did not fit 12" wheelbase rigs. They said the wheelbase was 12.3".

I would think Proline would know what the wheelbase is, but when I called I sat on hold for 10 minutes and finally gave up without getting an answer.

Anyone here know if it really is a 12" wheelbase?

Thanks,
Stomp

Well, according to the Pro-line website, it says it is 12" and fits the SCX10 and Ascender. I would go off of the manufacturer, not the "dealers" on Amazon. Only way to know for sure is, buy it and see. You can always adjust the wheelbase. Also, you could check the Ascender and SCX sub-forums and see if someone has used the body and if the had fitment issues.

I built one a LONG time ago, and used 91mm lowers up front and 101mm lowers out back (gen 1 scx10 axles and links). If I recall correctly it was 12" on the dot...

Yep, I have an old one hanging on the wall and distinctly remember having to make shorter links for the 12.3" truck it went on... It's 12".
