I picked up a fairly new CC01 chassis/Roller last week....and decided to build up a quick Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Most all of the "Project" work....has been on re-doing the Cherokee body that I picked up.

It was pretty rough...and I had to spend several days on sanding & bondo work....to get it back to a decent condition.

I painted it with a base coat/clear coat system (Model Masters).....and the color is Platinum Metallic (which is quite similar to the factory color's & paint jobs that I've seen on many 1:1 Grand Cherokee's)

I would like to keep it...but unfortunately bills are due...so it's going in several forum's classified's here in a few minutes.

It's got hidden body mounts on it...and they worked out great.

I painted some wheels up...to match...with the same base coat/clear coat paint....that's on the Jeep's body.

I think it would look really good....with some even smaller tires and even more offset wheels....but this was all I had at the moment...to put on it.

I set it up so that the rear of the Jeep was slightly higher than it needs to be.....to allow for the weight of a large battery in the stock location.

It will level out with a decent sized battery in it.

how did you get a grand cherokee body:cry:

I bought it off of another member here....a few weeks ago.

Then I painted it.

Spend your $20 bux....and be a supporting member...and get access to the Buy/Sell/Trade sections."thumbsup"

Then...you can find the good deals too !!!!!

As a matter of fact....this rig is for sale and will be in the classified section very soon ! LOL

WOW, that looks great. You should transplant the body onto a more capable crawler set-up. Nice paint job !!!

Thanks !

You'd be really surprised at how well some CC01's can be made to perform.

I have one...that placed in the top 2 or 3......at a large event (I'm thinkin it was at the MSD Scale nats)...a couple of yrs ago.

It's got a 4 to 1 reduction...molded bellypan...steering servo is front mounted (where the brick wall was).....4-linked......and a few other mods.

So some of them out there can definitely surprise you."thumbsup"

It will pretty much hang with most 1.9" Scale rigs that I've seen.

This one will stay on this chassis....I built it to sell.

I buy & sell a lil' bit.
