omg that is amazing
a couple questions(i dont think they were asked/answered in the past 13 pages)
1. how wide is the short course rear axle? (overall, in stock form) it looks a bit short in a couple of the pix before you broke it
2. ive heard that we cant use normal beadlocks because the front caster blocks hit the wheel, did you use hex wideners? if so, how long were they?
finally the last one
3. how were the speeds of it with the ax10 axle, compared to the short course axle?

Same width as a stock Slash 4x4. I run Vanquish Slw's and in the rear I was using .475. Front Slash 4x4 min. is .725

Front Slash 4x4 min. is .725 offsets.

Both axles have around the same gearing.

Really as long as your wheels are flush offset they will work. Vanquish does now have some super nice Slash 4x4 wheels. They look like SLW V2. Tires do have to be mod to work.

you said it! i never really liked the short course look, i was planning on making the slash 4x4 into a monster truck so i can go anywhere without, but this goes anywhere, and crawls ontop of that "thumbsup"

Mayhem is a MOnStEr. So fun to drive. I didn't lock the front so crawling is not is strong point.

I have only had it home for about a month so I am still working out some tuning.

R2J built my Chassis this is his second IFS Rock Racer. His skills are worth every penny you pay. "thumbsup"

locking a diff isnt THAT hard, some epoxy should do it, and just for some overkill, some hardcore putty will do too lol, i never planned on locking it, just some super super thick oil in the front diffs, and when i wanna bash around i just loosen the slipper a bit

ill be sure to hit up r2j, ive seen his work, i own some of his work lol(scx10 rear 4-link)

I do have some great news. RC4WD just finished with the new CNC upper and lower link mount set. They sent me a few pairs. The upper's look the same but the lower do have a little more meat at the mounting point. 8)

I did also go make to the Tekin 21.5 motor. Indy stole the 13.5.

HI sorry I did get back to you sooner. Front of Mayhem with Lox is 12.5. Rear is 11.875 as I have been running .475 in the back to narrow it up some.

Hear is the old next to the new.

I know there thicker because I had to drill out my hex a tad. Also the screw shaft is short make the sold part of the shaft longer. Nice work RC4WD "thumbsup"
