I have been away from the hobby for a year or so tending to other things, ever so often I would hop on RCC and browser around. A few weeks ago I happened to run across War Pig's bad hippo build., I fell in love with this truck and knew I just had to build one!
I started this build about a week ago so i will post pics to catch up to current progress. It is coming along nicely and im having a blast with it.

Part's
Mayhem trail ready's with tsl's (non xl)
Curries
Vanquish knucks and c-hubs
axial unversals
Vanquish wraith links
hd gears
hr lockers
supershafty bullet proof tranny with metal case
Roc 412
MMP
Hitec 7950
I have not installed most of my good parts to keep them clean during the build process....

Started with 1/2x1/2" square tube, I bent it and cut to in half for the ladder frame

Doing things a little out of order... But I began mocking go the interior and built a set of seats using the team3six templates

Took me a while to decide what I wanted to do with the rear... I'm pretty happy with what I have in mind...I really wanted to do some trick shock towers. This is where I am at now... I made a template out of styrene for the shock tower design and began cutting sheet metal. I have one built and still need to build the other. I will post pics soon as I get them mounted up

Getting closer... The chassis is just about done... In still waiting on the light bar and winch so I can graze up the mounts but after the it will be ready for it's 1st coat of primer to see if there are any graze joints that need work...

Thinking about drilling holes in my rear shock towers to dress them up a bit similar to war pigs eb truggy... I would like some opinions on this???

Winch or no? I wish I could reduce its size by about an 1/8th in each direction but...what do you guys think?

Keep the winch. Looks good there.

As much as i liked my Curries a SSD Front and a Currie F9 or SSD Centered would be a good combo IMO.
It's funny I started thinking the same last night... You know if vp has any plans for making the f9 in wraith width?

Rig is coming along nice. Pretty sure they will be making them Wraith width pretty soon. I just used some XR width Currie tubes and built up an XR width rear F9 axle for the EB. I think it's going to be perfect.
