Proline 1980 Silverado with Axial Jeep G6 Dimensions

I, like a lot of people, love the look and performance of the Axial G6 body but would like to have more options. Since it doesn't appear to be anything coming out soon to fit the bill I decided to get creative. At a comp last month I was able to test fit a 1980 Proline Silverado body and the front is just a fuzz wider than the G6. The rear was going to need some work.

The pics below show the cuts I made to bob and narrow the bed.


Here is the finished product.





I have used the toolbox trick to hide the roll bar looking body supports before. The idea comes from the links below.

If anyone wants a truck body that fits like a Jeep G6 all you need is a razor blade and some Shoe Goo!
