Anyone know which one of softer out of the Proline 1.9 closed cell crawler foams or the CI 1.9 Deuces Wild? WHich ones will break in faster for those that have them? I only tried the Prolines so far. Looking at possibly running these in some Boom Racing Hustler tires. How much if any traction do you loose vs using standard foam? Thanks for the help.

C.I standard deuces wild are softer than proline single stage foams, I think C.I offers a denser foam still. It’s slighty darker in colour.

I'm using the Pro-Line closed cell on my TRX-4 of just over 8 lbs weight with the TSL XL tires and the traction is better than with the original tires. At the same time I installed 88 gram knuckle weights and high mass beadlocks at 100 grams each so it's not really apples to apples. One thing is that the Pro-Line foams tend to move sideways on the non-Pro-Line wheels so unless you are going to use suitable wheels with the channel for the inner foam, and all I've seen that are suitable are original Pro-Line, I would try the CI closed cells. The best part of using closed cell is not having to worry about getting them wet, the old foams would allow the tires to bunch up badly when wet.

I find that the CI Deuces Wild have softer ribs on the outside, so they still conform well to the terrain. The Pro-Line Single stage have stiffer tread ribs, and feel stiffer. I prefer the CI Deuces Wild for overall stability while still having some room for "bite" with the softer tread ribs.

Also, be aware that CI offers their 2 stage foams with either standard or comp cut inner foams. There is a description of the difference on the CI site.

I haven’t ran the Proline but, do have the CI on this scx10.2 , couple pic that might help. So far I prefer them over 2 stage.
