Hey guys i have been thinking about getting a spektrum but i have no idea how they work. there is no crystals correct? does that mean if I have 2 or 3 rx's i can run that many cars on one tx? thanks for the help guys.

Yup, up to 30 on one tx with the DX3R. Some others are less. With the dsm technology you get a bind plug that binds the receiver directly to the tx for whichever model you select on there. Then when you're running different vehicles you just scroll through the screen and select the model you want. They're the best thing since sliced bread. "thumbsup"
Spektrum is a much higher frequency then normal FM or AM radios. They are in "mhz", spektrum is in "ghz".
Certain radios have more "model" memory, but you still have to have a Spektrum receiver to work with the Spektrum Radio. you can't use a Spektrum, or any 2.4 radio on your normal AM/FM receivers.
2.4 is "similar" to what Blue Tooth uses, same basic theories I beleive. They constantly find open channels to prevent any interference.
