Questions About Vanquish HP10 Optic Kit Build

Been out of R/C for a while, got a Vanquish HP10 Optic on the way (be here today actually ). Got a few questions about part fitment so I can make sure to get the correct parts ordered. Anything I have listed below look like it will cause issues? or better recommendations? Also, not 100% sure if this is supposed to get 1.9 or 2.2 sized wheels/tires. Seem like I have seen both.

• Wheels: I'm assuming this model uses 1.9" wheels. Will the these will work? INJORA 1.9 Beadlock Wheel Deep Dish w/ 10.4mm Negative Offset or RCLIONS 4pcs 1.9 Beadlock RC Aluminum Wheels
• Tires: INJORA 1.9" S3 Swamp Claw Tire (I know pretty much any tire will work, this I what I found that appears affordable and functional)
• Inserts: INJORA Silicone Rubber Insert Foam Fit for 118-122mm 4.75" OD 1.9" Wheel Tires (Large Green)
• Battery: CNHL 2S Shorty Lipo Battery 4600mAh High Voltage 7.6V
• Motor: HOBBYWING Quickrun Fusion PRO 2300KV FOC System 2in1
• Radio: Flysky FS-GT5 2.4GHz 6 Channels AFHDS RC Transmitter with FS-BS6 Receiver (I have a Futaba 4PKSuper, but it's out dated and I need another TX anyways)
• Servo: Affordable suggestions? I have a couple Holmes Hobbies SV500's in other models, but may pick one up if I can get it a descent price.

It looks like all of your choices will play nicely together.

The choice between 2.2 and 1.9 comes down to performance VS looks. 2.2s will certainly perform better in most terrain, but I think they'd look goofy on the Optic.

The 2300kv system is a good choice too. I suspect you'll like it on 3S much better than 2S. I certainly prefer 3S, and I'm a pretty careful driver.

Affordable servo:

ECO Power WP120T. They can be run on 7.4v from the RX. I'm pretty sure your ESC will have the option to program that ability. If you're not crawling competitively it gets the job done.

I learned that tires like you have listed may not endure time as well as tires from more more well known brands. Sidewalls tend to crack and open when left to sit for any length of time like there's an additive missing from the formulation or something. As was mentioned, 2.2's may not appear well proportioned to the size of the Optic.

I second the 3s battery over 2s battery thought. Easier to slow it down via pinion or controller settings if you really want.


Servo: I run the ds3235pro servo off Amazon for budget servos. Goes up to 8.4v which doesn't matter with the 2300kv 2in1 since it is max'd out at 7.4v (but a hw1080 brushed esc does go up to 8.4v on the bec).

I would stay away from the cheap knock off tires. I’ve seen them dry rot fairly quickly. Only other suggestion is go with a smaller mah battery. I personally rather switch batteries during a run to keep the weight down, but I’m all about the technical crawling and rarely trail my rigs. A 2200 3s will run for a good while from my experience. If I remember correctly the largest battery that fits is the gens ace adventure 3600 3s.

I was kind of thinking the 2.2 would look too big, but since I don't have one to compare, good to have y'all opinions.

I think I'll pick up a couple 3S 2200's then.

The fusion pro is a great choice but do 3S instead of 2S. I feel like 1.9s are a better fit. Even 5.25" tall 2.2s seem a bit large.
