I'm just wanting to get the word out that our local group Rock Stompers of Asheboro NC is in the process of trying to set up a multi trail comp at the North Carolina zoo sometime in September. There's multiple hiking trails around the zoo and we're wanting to set it up somewhat like top truck challenge and have a different challenge on each trail. I have spoken with the zoo and was told to send an email telling about who we are and what our end goal is before it can be approved. This will be an all proceeds towards autism event with prizes being awarded to the winners. We currently have 2 sponsors and we're looking for a few more if you would like to be involved. We also have 2 other groups that are helping, area 51 from Trinity NC and world class crawlers from Sanford NC. Thank you. #stompingautism

I'd be game "thumbsup"
You must have done some sweet talking to get the zoo to consider this.
Keep us posted.
Just saw your response. We haven't actually been given permission yet but I wasn't told no over the phone. And they told me to send an email. Where are you from Bug?

State Road NC in Wilkes-by-God County!
If you ever been through here you'll know where I'm talking about ;-)
I don't believe I have ever been up that way. Do y'all have some nice places to crawl up there?

Yep, crawled both those spots. Stone Mtn is basically in my back yard, I've run pretty much every rock up there over the past 10yrs.

Stone Mt is an awesome day trip. I like how cozy Rocky Face is, and the rangers love the trucks. You're lucky to be so close!

So I just wanted to give an update on the autism crawl. We are having a meeting Friday about the event. So far we have 5 sponsors with some well known rc crawler vendors and we're planning to add a few more. The crawl will be at a course known as area 51 in Trinity NC. If you don't have Facebook just text me at 704-690-2118. Thank you.

Area 51 is a great place with lots to crawl! Been there several times. Chad and Brian are super nice! I'd say this will be a good event to go to "thumbsup"
