Iv been searching through the pages here and can't find anything about RC lights. What I am trying to figure out is a way to make my own lighting setup. I don't want to have to go buy a "RC light kit" I want to go buy some leds and wires and creat my own. Any info on doing something like that would be great, thanks.

I bought led's already wired at Advanced Auto. All you have to do is wire them to a power source. They come in all different colors. They are about $10 for a pack of 4. I got headlights, foglights, and taillights on my truck for about $20.

One thing I have used for flashing lights on my rigs is to use the parts out of lighted shoes. Hey the kids out grow them so the lights came out. They have there own batterie supply, already wired and the leds have a plug on them too.

Good idea Bob, I should have thought of that having 3 kids all with those stupid shoes lol, how many LED's are in each shoe?

Depends on the shoe. The shoe I used had 5 leds, made a great light bar and corner lights with both shoes used.

alot of walmarts are discounting rc cars that have full lights and taillights.
plus under car neon. got one for 10 bucks. its a nova i believe.

I got what is called a "finger light" from Walmart. Was at the registers. Small red or blue plastic housing with a velcro loop to go around your finger. It uses 3 watch batteries in series. It has fast strobe, slow strobe, and constant. I will be using it's controls on all the lights on my scaler. I think if I run the LEDs in parallel and run the same voltage, but larger batteries, that it should run everything.
