This was a tough decision on buying the RC4WD 1/10 Scale Chubby 3 or 6 Ton Jack Stands.

3 Ton ~ Height: 1.5" (38.5mm) with lift section fully lowered
Height: 2.4" (60mm) fully extended

6 Ton ~ Height: 2.87 inches (72.9mm) with lift section fully lowered
Height: 4" (100mm) fully extended

The 3 ton are to small And the 6 ton are to big. ~ I wish thay made some in between the two.
I bought the 6 Ton stands because my axles are almost 3" off the ground. running 4 1/2" tall tires.
On a Axial SCX10 II Trail Truck.

The 3 Ton may be fine if your axles are only 2 1/2" off the ground running 3 3/4" tall tires.
Like on a RC4WD Trail Finder II ~ I may be wrong on the Height of the axles I don't own this truck.

Spending almost $40. on a set of (4) you want to make the right choice the first time.
So I hope this post helped a little on buying the right ones for your scale rig / truck.

I have both sets. The 3 ton look perfect to scale so the basically stay in my scale garage for props. The 6 ton are monsters and not scale by any means but actually are usable. I completely agree that we need a version slightly taller than the 3 ton but with more height in the arm"thumbsup"
