Saw these on amainhobbies today https://www.amainhobbies.com/rc4wd-6-lug-steel-wheel-hex-hub-w-brake-rotor-rc4zs0530/p656373

Can someone help me here please. My question is: Art these RC4WD 6 lug steel wheel hex hubs designed for SLW hub bolt pattern??? SLW hubs compatible?

Thank you

SSD has 3 different sizes of brake rotor hubs that ARE SLW compatible. I just got a set of their narrowest ones last week, just a tiny bit narrower than VP .225"s, then they have +3mm (roughly .350") and +6mm (roughly .475") At $12 a pair, they're about the same, if not cheaper than those RC4WD ones.

Thank you TheLetterJ ( Appreciate ) and fr8cture. Yes, I know the SSD as you mentioned above, But I like the RC4WD one as they come with scale hardware. From the picture provided by RC4WD as my first post. They look alike, So I though they are compatible with SLW hubs.

Anyway, I just wish SSD comes out scale screws for their SSD RC Wheel Hub w/Brake Rotor next time ( https://www.amainhobbies.com/ssd-rc-wheel-hub-w-brake-rotor-ssd00192/p674920 )

Thank you

I actually designed those for RC4WD a long time ago. The RC4WD bolt patter is not SLW compatible. Neither is the diameter of the step on the front of hub.

RC4WD hubs and SLW compatible hubs are just two different things.

You maybe wandering why SSD dont use scale hardware on wheel hubs (given that I started the scale bolts thing at RC4WD). I dont believe in using scale bolts anywhere that you may need to crank down hard (steel wheel assembly).

You could just get M2.5 x 8mm scale bolts from Locked Up or RC4WD if you want to try it.
