Rc4wd carbon assault 1/10th monster truck

Another Solid Axle MOnster Truck about to hit the market.

Whats everyone's thoughts?* Looks like it has some decent parts to start with.* I don't know much about the company but may be worth a look for sure.

I just noticed this up on RPP for pre-order

It looks like mostly a parts bin build with maybe a new Chassis (?)

Axles look to be widened D44s (old), old AX2 two speed tranny, old shocks and old body (or is it new?).

I like that they're using their 2 speed, I have one in a 2.2 Wraith and its a good way to add a little bash-ablity.

The motor I see burning up in no time, I mean a 10lb truck and a simple 27T 540 motor is hardy adequate. For the cost of entry RC4WD is offering up $250 worth of parts for $750, not a good deal.
I will say it is nice to see a solid axle monster trucks though.

I don't know much about the company but may be worth a look for sure.

RC4WD makes very pretty scale trucks but often uses low quality alloy with somewhat questionable quality. Its the kind of brand where you're best off disassembling and reassembling your rig.

Seems like a great platform to use as a builders kit. Sell the chassis, transmission and Differentials and let people bolt all of their own parts on. Would keep the cost way down also.

The chassis looks cool. The rest is "meh" and I couldn't care less about it. I certainly don't think these axles are going to withstand monster truck abuse.

Not sure about R&D, seems like they just ransacked the parts bin like Axial did with the SMT10. Sheep in wolfs clothing
