real flames

i was courious if anyone here knows how to paint realalistic flames? if so would you mind sharing how u do it i've been wanting to try it for a wile but not sure how you do it insidw a body thanks.

Stenciling is fine but make sure you have various designs. I have seen a lot of "true fire" that looks like they used one or two different stencils. In my opinion it hardly looks like true fire. The colors are there and you can tell what they were after but just not real. Mike lavallee is one of the only guys I have seen that can actually make it work. And I guess rightfully so being he is the one who started that style of flames. But yes, lets see some pics! This is what I am talking about as far as using only one or two stencils or shields. It looks cool and all but in my opinion it doesnt really look like "true fire"

I painted some true flames on a Charger body for Halloween. I used the instructions on CFX Paintworks. Only change was I used Spaz Stix paints instead of HoK.

i see lots of paint jobs like this on ebay and other places and in my opinion this don't look like flames or fire at all. xrc magazine did a good write up as well on true fire

Check out www.gotpaint.com go to the forum section. There is a thread about true flames on rc bodies. One of the moderators there is Craig Fraiser the Godfather or automotive airbrushing.
