I'm using a IB sellect 1400 MAh RX pack wich is realy good i think, its made out of 2/3 sice cells.

I can get about 2 hours out of my pack maybe a bit less depending on how i drive. The receiver pack powers a hitec 5645rear servo and a Airtronics 94359Z for front servo And 9.6v for motors.

Once they got flat i fast charge them at 1 amp.

When running high voltage main batterys the BEC goes down. So you take the red wire out of the wire that comes from your esc to the receiver to stop you burning your BEC if you ever want to take your rx pack out. The rx pack will power the receiver and servo's giving it enough juice.

Ok newbie question here what is a BEC?

BEC stands for "battery elliminator circuit" it provides proper voltage to the receiver thus elliminating the use for a receiver pack. This is built into most ESC's.

Hey there

This is a tiny bit off topic;

I use a Ultimate BEC, its made to run up to 40 cells and puts out 5 amps at 6 Volts. If your ESC puts out 6 volts you can leave the red wire intact and you will add the ESC's BEC amperage to the circuit. For example if your run a S Rooster with the Ultimate BEC you have 8 amps at 6V.

The Ultimate BEC are a little pricey but I like not having to worry about having an RX pack. Also the Ultimate BEC's are available in different models, only the top of the line one is worth buying for crawling. Ihave three of these and use them in planes and crawlers, I have not been able to damage one.

PS or just get servos that run on 7.2V and run them of your main battery without a BEC (like the 5995 Hitec)
