Repairing radios...

Anybody ever dealt with the Radio manufacturers for repairs on discontinued models? I've got a Hitec Lynx 3D that took a suicide leap off the workbench today. Worried that the replacement parts may not be available, I LOVE this radio. Looks like I might get by with a new front case and a couple of internal parts.

Anyone know of a resource other than Hitec?

Anxiously waiting for guidance.

Stan.

The case can be fixed, no big deal.

How bad are the internals? I've dropped transmitters before, been lucky not to break'm I guess.

If nothing else, I've got a local guy's Competition Electronics charger here that I'm repairing...wouldn't be too difficult for me to fix your TX.

...and I'm reasonably priced. ;)

The steering wheel and cam came out after it hit the cement floor, I think a new case half, if available, should take care of it. I'm thinking Hitec would be my best bet...they are the OEM. I'd bought the unit used, and it's not a big deal to spend a little to get it done. It is a really good unit, with a bunch of options. The rechargeable battery pack/holder and charger are worth what I paid for the whole unit.

Thanks for the reply, I was getting to panic mode real quick. Love the avatar, by the way;-) .

Best *&%^$ news I've had in a week!!! Just got off the tele with the Hitec peps:

PARTS ARE AVAILABLE!!!

Looks like it's $20 flatrate fee/parts included. It'll probably cost more in shipping!!

Stan's a happy boy!!!
