Resurrecting a classic wraith

Was looking over rigs the other day and realized I never swapped the foams in the tires. I got these tires and wheels second hand from a buddy. I wanted them because of the pitbulls.

A short story- I’ve already said it previously but, the tires were won by a Parker toss at one of our first g6 events (2013-14?) by my bro in law. He traded them after having them for a little bit and they never really got used. They are sentimental for the build as the wraith was released around that time and all our buddies drove them through many g6s. Bro n law and I have been going to every g6 in our state since then. Many many years.

So, I got them back and they are here to stay until they fall apart. Right now they have no holes or cracks in them.

Anyway- I stripped them down and found that the new Injora silicone inserts are super wide and the beadlock inner ring is too skinny on these wheels. I really like the silicone inserts in my brx01 build so these things are going to be my go to.

No more nasty, undersized and stinky foam inserts. The current beadlocks are going on the spare parts shelf and I’ve ordered some new ones. Next thing to do is attach a battery tray/ or strap to hold my batteries in. Doing it the unconventional way by placing it in the passenger side of the rig as I don’t want to cut any part of the body.
