RGT Adventurer 1/24 problem

My son has an RGT 1/24 Adventurer which has stopped moving forwards. Reverse and steering works fine. There is no binding in the driveline, the mechanical parts seem OK. This is the model: RGT - RC Adventurer - 1/24 - 4x4 Crawler 2.4GHz - CarMoWorld

Is there any way to check if the problem is in the transmitter or in the receiver? Or how else would I narrow down the problem? It seems a pity to throw away an otherwise good truck.

Thanks in advance.

You can try re-binding the transmitter to the reciever or recalabrating the esc if it's in the manual. No idea how or if it's possible with this setup.

Usualy it involves plugging in the battery at full throttle or pressing buttons.

The esc/receiver can be replaced no need to toss the vehicle unless its just easier to buy a new one for the price.

Just out of curiosity, will it go forward if you unplug the steering servo.
