Okay, so I didn’t expect too much, but I think this lit guy has som potential.
Looks to be a bit top heavy, but that can be changed up with a different body.

One disappointment… This thing has some crazy torque twist!!!!
In the pics below, it is not driving over anything, that is all just from putting it in reverse. The right rear tire stuffs in the wheel well and pretty much locks it up , unless you give it full reverse, then it drives through it, but definitely puts a lot of unnecessary drag on the motor.

Anyone have some ideas to tackle the torque twist issue without putting heavier springs in it?

So, I called the vendor back to see if I could keep the defective one, at a discount, for spare parts. It took about 30 minutes between discussions and hold time to get through the conversation. In the end, they agreed to it "thumbsup"

Now I’ll have spare parts fo the replacement, or I’ll eventually dig into the defective one and see what is causing the binding.

I pulled the driveshafts and both axles spin freely. I pulled the transfer case and it spins smoothly as well. While I had it out, I put a spacer under one of the mounting points, to clock it a little. This put less bind on the dogbone shaft between the transmission and transfer case. After s as ok this, it was still tipping the body to the right while inn reverse.

I had an extra set of RGT shocks in my parts bin. They happened to have a stiffer set of springs, so o installed them an the twisting that was happening is almost gone.

I have this model. Lovet it.
As you say top-heavy.

I use Hobby Plus beadlock wheels and weights in the front. Helps a lot.

They do have a pickup body.

There are some cheap mods on youtube for servo and weight distribution with washers.

Best regards
Erik
