Robinson pinion question

Does any body still use robinson pinions like the ones at tower hobbies? If so how thick is your adjustable motor mount and how much tooth engagment is there left, also how much of the pinion is still on the stator shaft

RC4WD MM and the pinion engages the counter gear a little mor that half way, but I never had a problem with it, it still snaped axles before any gear damage occured.

I runs Robinsons on my Revo, mini-t, TXT. I've never had a problem with them at all. They are great.

Cool, thanks guys. I think I will try the 9 and 10 tooth combo and see what happens. Do you guys actually have problems with twisting the stock axles? I plan on running 55t integeys if they ever get here.

The smallest ones I have seen have been 9T.

I don't think Robinson makes any, but RC4WD has 6, 7 and 8 tooth pinions.

When you guys run a 9t and 10t combo do you notice any axle fighting issues on say big slick rock were all four tires have full traction or is the the wheel speed difference not that noticable?

Is 9t good to run or 8t on my clod with 55t integy. I'm sorry everyone I'm former nitro guy and now learning the electric stuff for my new crawler build.

I think it's something like 4 or 5 revolutions. I run 65 turn in front and 75 turn in rear and can't really see any difference. It should be similar with pinions. DOESN'T stop clodstall like I had hoped.

Are you talking 4 or 5 rev. at the motor?

You will not really notice any side effects. Since the front and rear axles are not tied together like a shafty it will be very smooth still.

I've had robinson products on many diff cars and trucks and never had a problem with them as the others have said.

I guess I will just order up a set of 9t and a 10t so I can try both combos.
