So me and my daughter are building a H10 Optic. I've been out of R/C for quite some time. Now that the kiddos are pretty much grown, my wife pulled all of my R/C stuff out the shed and said it's time.... lol. I used to race R/C for years and still fairly new to crawlers. I love off roading IRL, so naturally I love R/C trail/crawlers as well (My daily driver is a 2013 JKU w/ 4.5" lift on 35" MT's). If anyone is on Indy's west side, give me a shout... I need to find somewhere to run.

So with that said, I thought this would be a great opportunity to build a new buggy with my youngest daughter. So here I am. I also have a SCX-10 Dingo, RR10 Bomber, and several other racing R/C.

This is the build so far:

Vanquish H10 Optic - Teal Livery (exactly the one we wanted by chance!)
Hobbywing Fusion 2300K
Ace 1/8 servo (she's old, but a mule of a servo), probably will replace at some point.
Injora 1.9 brass/aluminum wheels
Proline Krawlers
Treal brass knuckles
Flysky Noble NB4+ TX/RX
3s 2200 Lipos

I'll post some pics over the weekend.

Oh, and the H10 name will be Rocksie. We already have a Bomber who's name is Rocko and a SCX10 named Ralph, both named by my daughter. So I decided to name the Optic after her (her name is Roxi) and a play on Rocko.

Sounds like a fun build. Never could get my daughter into RCs.
But we did plenty of stuff when she was a kiddo.

This is the state of the build as of tonight. We hope to finish it in the morning. My daughter did really good with understanding the orientation of the parts during assembly. She also did a really good job of keeping the wrench in alignment when she was installing fasteners. Very proud of her.

We finished her up this morning. My daughter was so excited to take her out for a spin. We went to near by park and had a blast.

I absolutely love the FLYSKY Noble EB4+. This is coming from a life time Futaba/KO Propo fan boy. I will probably buy another for the family to use. It feels like a premium controller and was only a fraction of what a Futaba is these days.
