Roland rockshop wraith

ROLANDART.jpg

Heres one just like all the rest...
CIMG6694.jpg

for now..

My overall 1st impression of the wraith is its size..
if/when you get one you'll see..you just wanna throw
a battery in it and see what it can do!

Hats off to Axial for the ocp design..nice job!"thumbsup"
i see some unique applications for this axle..

Electrics are good-great for a rtr...2.4ghz radio rec
esc is alot,ALOT better than the previous model esc..
servo..ehh ,still could use a lil bit more umpfh to power the
steering duties.

Battery placement could have been worked in up front..
that is my only complaint so far.

Shocks are good, but will be replaced with alum adj shocks.
or the stockers will be upgraded with axial alum shock bodies.

Linkage is on par for a stock rtr..
upgraded linkage will be a must if you plan on bashing this beast with some hardcore trail running in mind.

Steering linkage is still ok for stock..but definite on the upgrade list.

Love the new cvd drivelines..well see how long these drive shafts hold up before becoming the next article in the parts pile.
i like the splined shafts.

Interior is a awesome job!
many rigs are fixn to be spruced up with this intierior!"thumbsup"

im gonna run it with the stock electrics till something goes out
or up in smoke!

1ST some minor changes..
headlight/taillight swap..

looks nasty right..

shock springs...
dont know what brand these are,had them in my spring pile..
just a tad softer spring rate than the stock axial springs that
come on the wraith..relocated shock mounts to 1st inner hole..
CIMG6697.jpg

CIMG6698.jpg

elec..
i relocated the power wires to go over tranny and hook up from underneath..nice and clean.
CIMG6700.jpg

CIMG6701.jpg

steering..
ordered the cms steering kit from level3..
$(KGrHqUOKkEE3wqed0,EBODkW9mDmw~~_3.JPG

and made up some alum steering rods..
CIMG6695.jpg

axles..

$(KGrHqEOKn!E4Dri26dKBOCL6jcnJQ~~_12.JPG

paint diff covers, till someone makes an alum diff cover for the ocp axle..
CIMG6727.jpg

tires..
for now i gonna run the piss outta the ripsaws..
only mods ive done on tires/wheels..
enlarge the vent holes on front wheels and
cut the treads to let the tire carcass flex easier.
CIMG6702.jpg

2nd
custom Roland Rockshop alum panels..
custom Roland Rockshop sticker wrap from Freq E Tag "thumbsup"
2.2 rc4wd claws or boggers
2.2 alum beadlocks??

3rd intierior..
got a few neat ideas brewing..8)

What's the servo cover do?

a lil update..
swapped out stock shocks for drooped front and rc4wd 110mm
dual spring shocks in the rear.
the 110mm shocks actually feel quite nice on it..
ill probably swap the drooped shocks for another set of the 110mm
shocks,if i dont like the way it handles.

and wheel/tires i wanted to try out..

Looking good. I still have a set of those tires floating around the the shop too!
They look a touch short on the Wraith. I dunno, guess cause they come with bigger tries from the factory. I do like the wheels.

thank ya sir!

yeah, thats the only thing i dont like about them is theyr a bit short
i think ive got 2 more pairs of them as well. lol!

i may end up taking the ripsaws off the stock wheels and putting them
in place of the carvers.

what is the name of those brake drums

Looking good. I see your running a new wheel setup. I love those rc4wd rockstars you had on. You wouldn't want to sell them would you. ;-)

Nice work again. Just got mine yesterday. Now I need to catch up with everyone.

thank you.

no,i like having a few extra sets of wheels to test and swap out.
those rockstars by far are the best scale looking wheel ive seen
on a wraith so far imho.
