The stainless disk (which weighs 1oz) will mount to the knuckle using the four center holes, and the weight will mount to the disk using the 3 outer holes that correspond with the three tapped holes in the back of the weight. Weight and mounting disk combine for a weight of 8.5oz at this point. Material will be machined off the top half of the weights and holders to achieve an undetermined at this point rtr weight.

Derby Monkey sells them already cut, took the easy route. I have a bunch of them because they also fit the YTC KW holders on my super.

Rotated the 4 center mounting holes in the plate so the tungsten slugs would be level to the ground even though the knuckles are clocked back.

Complete rig unweighted without battery was 3lbs 13oz, with weights and 850 mah battery weight is 5lbs. :shock:

Not to long ago 5lbs was "unheard of" light! Haha. I have a feeling the tread is coming back around and most rigs will be in the 4 to 5lb range? Where are you putting the batt and electronics? Batt on the plate and electronics in the chassis? I like that your running an 850. Do you have a particular reason?

That's a thought, but I wont be cutting them, slowly milling them down until I get the disired effect.
Battery on the mount behind the motor and electronics are in the chassis. This achieves a lower COG than having the battery up high on the axle. I have been running 850 batteries for a while, smaller ones can't keep up with my Broods unless I turn the lvc in the esc's off.
When the weights are all said and done I plan to be closer to the 4.5 lb range.
