Rowdys there's no "I" in team Bully 2

Just one of the benefits of non 8* knuckles you're seeing there. With the DLux knuckles on my XR and running them in the non 8* configuration I've noticed the same thing...quicker...snappier digs...more predictable too "thumbsup" I'm sure you'll notice other areas that these axles will perform better than XR's...of course there will also be others where they don't quite measure up...but that's just part of it 8)

Yes I agree "thumbsup"
Just need to get used to it lol

The only thing I "think" I've noticed is the lack of the "reach" that the 8* setup gives you when turning lock to lock trying to dig and grab a ledge.

I may be wrong and it might be something else that's causing it, but there are a few ledges where I thought I could turn to full lock and the inside edge of a tire would grab the ledge but it didn't pan out that way. Other than that I'm only seeing good things. One of the other biggies is that the non 8* stuff doesn't do that screwy wash out when you try to dig uphill on a sidehill where you "should" have plenty of traction. Instead the front just grabs and goes...

Thanks Ryan, a small local comp this Saturday will be the maiden voyage. I would have liked to get this rig on the rocks sooner but the weather lately has hindered that.

Hmmm interesting I will have to check this out
I wonder if clocking the knuckle one more notch would help with that?

Good Luck this weekend
Go scratch them diffs up "thumbsup"

Ok the knuckle weight situation is complete.

With holder and main weight 5.6oz

Then there are some add on stainless steel weights for tuning if more weight is needed.

1/8" weights are .45oz each
1/16" weights are .225oz each
I can cut them in any thickness if finer tuning is need but I think these will be fine.

With three 1/8" and one 1/16" add on it's at 7.17 oz.
Can add more but this is the max that stays inside the inner tire.

Nothing protruding past the inside of the freshly narrowed Voodoos.

I am going to start at the 5.6 oz per side and go up if needed.

How much room do you have between the knuckle weights and the wheel? It look really close in the pics. If the wheel flexes in a bind will it contact the KW?

Hi Rowdy,
nothing to see with the knuckles weights that I love... I'd like to know what is the length of you front lowers eye to eye and what Vp hubs you put on your wheels ?
Thanks in advance,
Emmanuel.

It's about 1/16" between the weight and wheel, should be fine, my XR setup was just as close and was never a problem.

Front lowers are 4-13/16" eye to eye, rear hubs are .225, front hubs are .600 with a .032 spacer.

Now that's just beautiful!!! Killer work sir"thumbsup"

Thanks,
It was a collaborative effort between Metal Militia and I, he did all the hard work.
Thanks again Andrew. "thumbsup"

What would that be in millimeters ? :(

Rtr weight with a 850mah battery that weighs 2.7oz and 5.6oz of weight on each knuckle is 4lbs 11oz.

That's an impressive amount of knuckle weight you have on there!

On the non 8* setup, I agree with ittybitty. I hopped on the Xr bandwagon for a while when they first can out but I could never get it to work better than my bully so I went back to the bully. The main thing I did not like about the Xr was the 8* knuckles, they caused to many problems and when I would run lines back to back with both trucks, when I would think "wow, I don't think the bully will do that line without 8* knuckles", it would actually do it easier. I think the 8* causes the outside tire to drive under the truck to often instead of just turning the truck.
