RS10 surging

I purchased a "new" RS10 that was supposed to be unused. The problem is that after only a few minutes it starts to slow down and then starts surging and won't hardly move. I'm new to this and was wondering if there is a reset for the ESC . I bought a new battery also but with no improvement. Any help would be appreciated . Thankz ....

What is the small button on the side of the ESC ? Can I reset it ? Is there a way to set the low voltage cut-off ?

I personally wasn't successful changing all of the functions (though I was able to change a few), but hopefully it will get you up and running.

are you getting the new batteries and just trying them out before charging?
