Sacramento Scaler GTG/Comps

whut you guys think of the snake pit?? its good hill climbing. its at douglas & eureka by tjmaxx. Or where else is godd for scalers???

I'm pretty much game for any place in the area. Couple of guys said the place in rocklin was nice. Auburn was ok, folsom lake is pretty much endless. Also hobby town rocklins indoor course is looking pretty good. I havent' seen it in two weeks but from what i saw it was very scaler friendly. Then fast track in rocklin should be done soon but not sure if it will be for both comp and scale. And John has a place in el dorado hills as well. Thats by a school I believe so I don't think we can do anything during the day.

Hey I forgot I have Thursday off I would be game to crawl on Thursday if that's when your gonna go out let me know.

Sounds like the scale scene is blowing up in our area Martin"thumbsup" Yeah all of the places you mentioned are cool for the scale trucks, and I have been to Johns spot in El Dorado Hills it too is awesome. I saw some pictures from one of the new indoor courses(cant rember which one) and it looked more crawler than scaler friendly, but you know me I dont like indoors at all :flipoff:. Hope to see you guys soon.

Tom, Chris and anyone else Thursday looks good if it's not pouring. We just need to pick a spot.

Bill "thumbsup" just getting things ready for when you get back :lmao:

John, what pm works for you in EDH?

what about the spot near the dam. under the new bridge? think someoen mentioned its a good place for scalers.. and somthin new.

What about that deer park place in rocklin or I'm gamefor Folsom point again it is a fantastic place to crawl. I just checked the forcast it doesn't look like it's gonna rain. I would be game for oak point if someone wants to go there. You know what I'm game for anywhere just let me know when and where. 8-)

Oh and being done by 3 is a must for me also so the earlier the better IMO

Haven't heard of anything under the new bridge. They comp under the old "rainbow" bridge. The only issue with that is where you have to park and walk to get to the spot.

Rocklin or the spot where you guys hit over the weekend is cool with me but I've been to oak point several times and like to try a new spot if paying :lmao:

I normally run 3 2s so have about 2+ hours of run time.

As far as water proofing check the scale section or search it. The guys in UT MT OR WA mostly do that to their rigs. As far as me, I don't see myself doing any of the TTC's and really have no plans to submerge my rigs

Do a google search of plastic dipping esc there's a YouTube video I an a vxl speed control so I didn't have to do this and I'm using a slash 4x4 receiver box and servo so that's how I water proofed mine.

The Folsom point place has an endless supply of new lines for scalers but that is the only place I have been to with a group of people it's like a mile of beach with rocks sand and dirt. I like this place but I am willing to go anywhere and if we go to Folsom point kappa you can ride in with me.

I'm not great with the street names yet but I think it's on east natoma so at the taco bell on blue ravine and east natomas head back like your going to Folsom lake crossing and it's your first right mike wrote how to get there on an earlier post also if we meet at taco bell I can show u it's very easy and close to taco bell.

ya i saw utube videos with liquid tape was leanin towards putin it in a tup aware container. seemed eastiest.im going to snake pit or folsom lake ard 4 if anyone is intereested? i jus got my winch so wanna play with it
